The idea for our original show, The Northern Game Expo, was born in the summer of 2015 after its co-founders attended the inaugural Barrie Game Exchange in Barrie, Ontario.

For the first time on Sunday October 25th, 2015, our doors opened for Northern Game Expo at Cambrian College, and the response was overwhelmingly positive. Now we welcome vendors and guests from all over Ontario, and most recently Québec and British Columbia! We are proud to welcome back vendors from all across the nation year after year due to the success of the expo. In August 2022, we welcomed over 1,200 people through our doors! We are excited to keep our momentum going and keep growing!

 

The goal at Northern Gaming Events is to “feel the nostalgia” and have people come out to recapture their youth (if only for a day) where they explore, shop, and express themselves. We strive to create a community where guests and vendors from all walks of life can connect through shared interests and engaging activities - including a Kids Zone for the little ones! We frequently receive positive feedback from vendors and guests alike that they "can't believe something like this is in Sudbury!"

Northern Gaming Events has always strived to provide the best experience for families and as the show grows, we've incorporated more events to elevate their experience.

We are beyond stoked to be offering more gaming tournaments, as well as NostalgiaCon (our FIRST one was April 23, 2023) to keep excitement flowing through the community year-round!
